Coatlicue is the Aztec deity of the earth/creation. Elvira and Hortensia Colorado write and perform their own material, drawing from their native cultures and traditions. Incorporating the Nahuatl language, they weave stories of the deities along with personal stories of their family and issues affecting the Indigenous, Chicano and Mexican communities.
