NET/TEN Shareback: PULLproject & NCRR - Ensemble Work with Non-Artistic Entities & Use of Circus / Aerial Elements

2014-15 Exchange Grant Recipients

PULLproject (Los Angeles, CA) engaged in a partnership with Nikkei for Civil Rights & Redress (Los Angeles, CA) to develop PULL: Tales of Clamor, a full-length theatre/aerial arts piece exploring the clamor necessary in family and community to break silence.

SHAREBACK:

This Shareback is a PDF that provides take-aways from an Exchange process between a theatrical ensemble, PULLproject, and an elder, grassroots community organization, NCRR (Nikkei for Civil Rights & Redress).  It also provides take-aways from their process of incorporating unusual elements --specifically aerial apparatuses/Circus-- and how that was communicated to NCRR as their partner in this Exchange.
