Alisha Tonsic first became a NET member in 2005. She served as Board Treasurer (2006-09) before joining the NET staff as Operations & Resources Coordinator (2009-11) then Managing Director (2011-15), and now as Executive Director (2015-present). From 2003-12, she was the first Managing Director for Sojourn Theatre (now part of the Center for Performance and Civic Practice), working in partnership with the ensemble and founding Artistic Director Michael Rohd. She has over 30 years of non-profit arts administration and management experience, including positions in finance, fundraising, general management, program development, field research, and literary management/dramaturgy at American Repertory Theater (MA), Berkeley Repertory Theatre (CA), Manhattan Theatre Club (NY), McCarter Theatre (NJ), and Theatre Communications Group (NY), and as an independent arts consultant focusing on small- and mid-sized companies.

Alisha is a Board Member of the Performing Arts Alliance. She has served on Theatre Bay Area’s Theatre Services Committee, and on grant selection panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, New Dramatists, Oregon Cultural Trust, and Theatre Communications Group. She is an alumna of the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute, participated in the inaugural round of the TCG New Generations Program, and was named an Unsung Hero of Portland Theatre by the Portland Drammy Awards. A first-generation college graduate, Alisha received a BA in Theatre and in English from Barnard College, Columbia University, and makes her home in Portland, Oregon.

Currently serving as Director of Programs and Engagement at the Network of Ensemble Theaters, Patricia is overseeing programmatic activities. A former member of the artistic staff at L.A.’s Center Theatre Group for over a decade, Patricia filled roles spanning artistic and new play development, education and community partnerships, and programming. An active member of the national theatre community, they frequently speak at public events and facilitate group conversations. Patricia has also served as a grant panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts, Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, and The Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, among others.

Patricia’s passion is working with other theatre professionals nationally on issues surrounding anti-racism and inclusion with a focus on the LGBTQIA+ community through artEquity. Patricia has an MFA/MBA in Theatre Management from California State University, Long Beach, and a BA in English with a minor in Theatre Studies from UC Berkeley.
