Ensemble MacroFest USA 2020: Albuquerque
in partnership with Tricklock Company’s Revolutions International Theatre Festival

Full Event Registration includes all activities from Thursday afternoon (March 12) through Sunday evening (March 15), including:

  • 6 performances ($128 value) at Tricklock’s 2020 Revolutions Festival by companies from Uganda, the UK, and the US (including NET ensemble member Double Edge Theatre);
  • 3 days of EMFUSA2020:ABQ participatory event sessions (workshops, artist talkbacks, demos/workshares, and roundtable discussions);
  • plus an opening reception, closing breakfast, coffee breaks, and other opportunities to connect with local, regional, national, and international ensemble-interested colleagues and co-creators.

NET Programming Only Registration (available for local NM residents) includes all of the above with the exception of the 6 festival performances.

EMFUSA2020:ABQ programming will begin with an opening reception at 4:00pm on Thursday March 12 at Tricklock Performance Laboratory (110 Gold Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102).

The NET registration table will be set up at Tricklock throughout the reception on Thursday (4:00pm-6:00pm) to check in as you arrive, and will also be available at Tricklock on Friday March 13 from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Addresses for other event locations throughout the weekend (including performance venues) are listed online along with the full event schedule.

The closing event session will end at 1:00pm on Sunday March 15. An optional festival performance is included on Sunday evening for those who do not need to plan Sunday afternoon departures.


If you are flying in, you’ll want to arrange your travel through Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), which is located approximately 5 miles from our event venues in Downtown Albuquerque.

Ground transportation on Thursday evening (March 12) will be provided between the opening reception at Tricklock Performance Laboratory and that evening’s performance at Keshet Center for the Arts. Attendees are responsible for their own airport transfers and all other transportation while in town.

Lyft and Uber are both available in Albuquerque; the one-way fare from the airport to downtown is around $10-15, and one-way fares between the EMFUSA2020:ABQ event locations will run $6-10.

Roommate Requests
If you are interested in finding another EMFUSA2020:ABQ attendee to split a hotel room or AirBnB with, we encourage you to post on our Facebook event page. If you are not on Facebook and would like NET staff to post on your behalf, please contact us.


We are pleased to offer a limited number of travel subsidies to eligible NET members on a first-come, first-served basis to support your attendance at EMFUSA2020:ABQ:

  • 1 subsidy per NET member (i.e. 1 per ensemble member company) may be requested once, to attend a single event in the EMFUSA2020 series;
  • Subsidy request can be up to $100 for ensemble/affiliate members, and up to $50 for individual/student members, based on your actual round-trip travel expenses to the event location.
  • Subsidy will be issued as a reimbursement, after member submits travel receipts and requested documentation to NET.


To be eligible for a travel subsidy for EMFUSA2020:ABQ, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Current NET member in good standing (at time of request and at time of payment);
  • Located at least 100 miles from Albuquerque;             
  • Have completed and paid for your event registration before submitting your subsidy request.  

Process for Subsidy Requests & Payments: 

  • Once you complete and pay for your registration, complete and submit a Travel Subsidy Request Form and attach PDF copies of your travel receipts (air, bus, or train). If you are traveling by car, you can either submit fuel receipts after the event or use the 2020 standard mileage rate of $0.575 per mile. If using the latter method, please submit a Google map image of your route that shows the total mileage as your receipt.
  • NET staff will review your request and let you know within 2-3 business days if your subsidy request is approved. 
  • NET will issue your travel subsidy check to you onsite in Albuquerque if we receive your travel receipts no later than March 1; for travel receipts submitted after this date, we will mail your check to you within 10-14 business days of the end of the event.
