NET/TEN Shareback: The Theater Offensive - Youth Organizing

2013 Fall Travel Grant Recipient

The Theater Offensive (Boston, MA) visited New Orleans to meet with the leadership of the New Orleans Queer Youth Theater Project (New Orleans, LA), engage in rehearsals, exchange methodology, and network with the youth. TTO also met with the three leaders of the project at their respective organizations to discuss the following: Youth Organizing, Grassroot Artistic Values, and Neighborhood Organizing.

This is a video interview that TTO alum and youth leader Julia did with L'lerrét Jazelle Ailith, a participant of the NOLA Queer Youth Theater Project. They talk about being being queer, self-expression through theater, the exchange experience, and the queer theater field, with facilitation provided by True Colors Director Nick Bazo.
